    Default help with vc interior

hey all im new to the forum and i searched around but i couldn't find any info i wanted. i was just wondering,
i just purchased myself a vc with brown vynal seats and i learnt from my first car that these are hell in summer lol.
i was curious do the seats from newer commodores such a vn's or vs's fit in? id prefer front and rear of the same style.
and im having trouble installing a HU where abouts can i find a live wire and an accessories wire? and how do i disassemble the dash to find these wires?
thanks in advance for any form of help

Why do you want VN/VS? Any VB - VL cloth trim interior will bolt straight in and will look better also. I couldn't say for sure but I doubt a VN/VS etc would bolt straight in.

Can't help you with the head unit, sorry.

there is a fat pink wire in on the firewall that runs to ignition switch which is perfect for ignition cos' it doesnt cut out when you flick to the 'start' position on your switch.

good luck finding the accessorys wire, i have been hunting for mine for a year now. the previous owner messed with the wiring and killed it so i only have either ignition on or off but on a normally wired car you will be able to trace all the wires from your ignition switch. four screws on the bottom plastic cover, the bottom will come off but you wont get the top off without a fight. slide the top sideways and you will have access to the ignition switch, from there you need a test light.

oh ps. while your in your ignition switch, just to really PISS OFF would be thieves, once your done wiring, put a couple of wraps of gaffa tape around the plug and zip tie it to the steering column, they may break into your car, then break your column cover, but ill be damned if they will get her started without a few choice curse words

(and pissing off thieves makes me VERY happy)
