vacuum tree more refers to the TVS in the front of the manifold on V8's (no idea where they are on 6's soz) cos there is 4 ports coming off it, looks more like a tree, the brake booster 't' piece only has two. one large for brakes and one small for trans vac. and looks like a T

p.s. dont buy the plastic crap ones, make sure you get a nice brass one. much easier to seal and you wont snap it when you tighten it up.

    Agreed about the brass jobies.

Disagree about the brake booster tee.

On my six, the brake booster line comes off a 5 way tree. One is blanked off from the factory and one has been blanked off by some wannabe Mechanical Engineer Was the Vacuum Sensor for the long gone EST.

That leaves the brake booster, heater/air control & vacuum gauge.

Trans vac, for Auto, has it's own feed from the base of the inlet manifold.

I have vk 6 which is my daily (damn P plate laws) and a 308 as well so it makes it heaps easy to compare what everybody is taking about to what i have and help people out in that respect.
