    No, they won't fit.

Yes they are available, Pacemaker do a set and a couple of other makers do too. When I get to work, I will get a price for you.

    ^^^why won't they fit?
Aren't the VK and VL engine bays basically the same layout?

Apparently not. Everyone lists different extractors from VB-VK and the VL. The difference may only be because of the cat on the VL, but I have never tried to fit them either way. The header section may very well fit.

Yeah thats what i was thinking. In theory the only issue would be where the headers meet where the cat should be......

    its all answered here: extractors?

dont think there were cats on VL 5.0's only VN went unleaded. the difference is something to do with the steering rack.

The extractors on Ebay still only fit VB-VK.

All VL's had cats from factory.

Hurricane do a set for VB-VL with injected heads. 1 3/4" primary, they are a tuned Tri Y design. I can do these for $690.

I've got a set of 5700 Pacemakers in my VH - (VB-VK EFI 5L conversion)

The only difference I can see, is the VL had a different power head on the steering rack to the VB-VK, which could cause some clearance issues. My headers did originally rub up against the head on the steering rack, until I swapped my rack and K-frame for VS items.

Darren_L is close the top of the VL rack is different tot he VB-VK both power steer, the VL setup is better as you get more clearence around the top of the rack and you dont burn seals in the rack all the time.

    cheers

Scott I can't say from personal experience if the VL rack is any better or worse than the VB-VK rack with the Pacemakers. All I know is that they have a different angled powerhead to the earlier models. Yeah my VH rack kept burning up top seals due to the header pipes literally mounting right up against the powerhead.

But the later VN-VS rack & K-frame solves the clearance issues, and you can use the factory VN-VS powersteering hoses as well

my mate fit the standard factory tin VN V8 headers to a VN 5L conversion in a VL. Seemed to fit ok. Not sure about VN aftermarket headers though eg Pacemaker. Not aware of anyone who has tried it
