    Default Driveshaft difference

    Hey everyone,
    Just got the 308 into my VK,doing a few last jobs and rememberd the driveshaft will be diferent.Is it possible to unbolt the front half from my V8 drive shaft and bolt it to my six cylinder rear half?The six cyl one is off a 202efi with a borgy diff.The V8 one is out of a VH 308 with a salisbury

    yeah, that should be fine. remember to keep the orientation of the universals the same for balance purposes

    Im pretty sure 6 sixes had a smaller diameter tailshaft but the EFI might have the larger one, if in doubt any old vl six rear half will fit. V8s also have larger CV joints where you join.

    Bugger it you were right the splines on the six one are to small.Will have to try the wreckers and find a VL shaft

    That didnt work either,im just gona have to get off my ass and put the salibury into it till i find a decent borgy

    Get a tailshaft from an auto 253. The front of that should bolt up to the rear half of the VK borgy tailshaft. Should work anyways, we've done that for our v8 conversions with borgy diffs.

    hmmm it must be a vn/p v6 conversion that you use a vl rear shaft.
