    Default VK vent/fan control problems

    HI,
got a VK 202 black with carby and AC, but having issues with fan etc.

-the ac was not hooked up so put a belt on and can hear it kick in but not cold (gas?)
had not been used for years.

-the AC/fan switch I replaced as it was only blowing on 1 and new switch it goes 1-4, also the rear vacumn lines were all stuffed up and not even connected, so I thought this is the likely reason the fan will only blow through the demister but fixed it all and it still only blows via demister??? any ideas?

lol, mine has done that too. but mine was working fine, took all the hoses off one by one, snipped the ends off to make a nice tight seal so i didnt have any vac leaks, now all it does it make a sucking noise and blow out the floor vents only...

i would love to know what i did wrong. i think my vac selector is naffed and when i put a strong vac to it the seals buggered up. it may be the case for yours too.

tha AC stuff i dunno. dunno why anyone would want AC, but yeah, each to their own.

When you reconnected the vac lines to the round plastic selector, were the lines still numbered?

Little white stickers. Can be a PITA to get them right.

Also, in the engine bay, is the non-return valve on the vac feed line in a serviceable condition?

Mine was borked and caused all sorts of problems.

    fixed it!

turns out the bloody vac line was not getting any suction? dodgey vac port or something, so hooked the 'vac in' line to a new vac port and works perfectly now!

finally fixed, now all I need is a re-gas.

PS don't know how anyone can get by without AC, especially in QLD!

    LOL

Yeh my 1 way valve is cactus so when you accelerate hard with it on norm mode the cool air goes from your face to your feet as i guess one vent opens with vacuum and the other closes.
