No More VK =(

Hey All,

Just a quick thanks to everyone that has helped out on various questions etc that I have had with the commodore this place has served me well!

I will be selling the commodore and I am getting a 4x4 ute for work reasons but before I do I just want to grab an idea of what peoples thoughts are as to a sale price. I have browsed through previous posts etc however others didn't have low km's or interior + exterior in top condition.

So I need help once again!

Details:

• 202 Black 6cyl

• Trimatic 3 Spd

• 76,283 ORIGINAL KM's

• 17" ROH Mantis Wheels w/ Rubber Purchased October Last Year NO Gutter Rash

• Original Stock Rims w/ 50% Tread Left Also Here

• Regularly Serviced Gearbox+Motor

• Paint In Excellent Condition for Age - Cut and Polish will make it look even better

• Interior in excellent condition with no stains / no rips in carpet etc

• Rego Runs Out Next Week (19th March 10)

Recently Reco'd:

Brake Booster - $180
Power Steering Rack - $440

Needs Doing:

Centre Bearing needs replacing little bit of vibration/tapping on some occasions
Timing/Tune with Premium Fuel

Rear Rubber in Tailgate in the bottom right is a little warped from a 40+degree day we had in the summer. No Rust underneath etc.

yeah, do yourself a favour and dont think your car is worth more than the next guys cos' its had money spent on it or has a clean interior. market value is market value whether your car is immculate or not and getting people to pay extra is really difficult.

it could be worth 800 bucks, it could be worth 3 grand, but you will need to find the rigt buyer.

Yeah I understand that completely. Just damn hard to get an idea these days especially with the early girls.

Im in no dire rush to sell it so ill renew the rego for at least 6 mnths and let the right person come along.

i cant really help you on prices, soz. but what i have been doing for my impala is watch ebay daily. add all the cars that come up to my watch list and see what people are actually bidding on them, which would give you a good idea.

also if you can find another use for your rims, do so. cos wheels doesnt really increase price. they WILL make it easier to sell, but i doubt you would get more for it.

the right price, is what a buyer is willing to pay.

you can always put it on ebay for a doller, and what it sells for is what its worth lol, but ebay tends to sell cheaper, go over car sales, and see the competition, pick an average price.

shame its not a sedan, cos id buy it lol

when ya figure out a prive let me know. looks alright. i recently crashed my vk and only thing i saved was the engine so thats being put in my torana as we speak!
