How to tell a V8 diff from a V6?

I've recently replaced the diff in my VK 308 with a VL V8 item.
The previous diff I had on the car was also a VL item, mini spooled.
I want to sell the diff but don't want to falsely advertise it as a V8 or Turbo diff if it's just a standard 6 cylinder one.
So, how do I tell what the old diff is?

There werent any V6 diffs in VLs

Best way to tell is splines on the axels VK & std VL are 25 spline
VL V8 & Turbo are 28 spline
V8 had a 3.08 ratio turbo was 3.45

Axel Codes are
951 0578 D/S
950 0578 O/S
