2.8l 4 speed VC 1981 Commodore with 123xxxkms on the dash, now while i dont doubt its been rolled back the interior is absolutely mint.
Anyway, questions.
What are some better part upgrades i can make to the car? My alternator is on the fritz and was wondering if a better one from a later model will go in with no or minor modification. How do i go about putting power steering in the car? Is there anything else i can do to this soon to be beast? Thanks for your help, Sean!
if you fit a V8 alternator itll run much better, especially if the V8 is still attached to the alternator.

since no one else is answering i may as well,
later model alternators tend to run with the ribbed pulley whereas you will have a 'V' pulley, so you can use one but changing the pulley can be a massive pain in the bum. plus if your wiring isnt up to scratch, there may be a fire or two since the new alternators deliver a solid 110A and your stockie will be around 55A
power steering means changing your whole steering rack which is a huge job. it also drains valiable horsepower from your engine, so you gotta decide if you want comfort or speed really.
generic mods would be air filter/carby/exhaust/dizzy all depends on what you wanna do and how much you got to do it.
put a V8 in. you kno you want to.
Aha nah i dont think ill drop another engine in, its a nice manual car but its not really my type so i think at some point ill try and offload it for a grand or so and try and get another VT or something.
offload your VC for about a grand huh?
Do you have pics of it please?

Yeah ill upload them tonight, although the car has reg but no RWC, id be looking for say 1300ish. 128xxxkms, mint interior, just replaced the alternator with a new one and only needs from what i can tell either wiper motor to get them to work. That said while im thinking of selling and couldnt turn down a good offer, i would love to swap for a car (i am not good with manual vehicles).
