If you have a worked 202 the Borgwarner 5 speed wont handle it at all i couldnt get out of my street when i put one behind my 202.

If you want a 4 speed go for an M20 box, the muchie boxes might be strong but are a horrible box. If you want a 5 speed consider a T5, 6cly falcon boxes go pretty cheap and will bot up with an adapter bellhousing.

    cheers

These old M76's are damn easy to recondition. The kits only cost around $210. Call:

The M76's are easier to overhaul than an old M20. All you really need is some basic mechanical knowledge, a shop press with a few plates and a set of feeler gagues with a pin removal/installation tool or my way with some drill bits in reverse. lol. Once overhauled, it should take care of all your troubs. About the weakness of the M76's, it's not that they're weak it's more the fact thet they've been slogged and thrashed for around 30 years with no real respect ever. Reco one and look after it and you'll never have any troubles.

    Cheers!.

The M76 is a weak box, i didnt give mine a hard time, no clutch dump or sideways action 1st gear about 10km/hr planting the foot and the front bearings let go. Box 2 I waited till second gear then tromped it and bang she went. both boxes had the clusters sleeved, new bearings, sincros the works.

The 6cyl T5 out of a commodore or falcon are a good strong option for a 5 speed, as well as the above mentioned boxes.

    cheers
