if i was to buy a new exhaust would i need to get it with a cat ?
cos the vk didnt comeout with a cat, but if i was to get aftermarket would i need one?

cant help you with the where as q. but no you wont need a cat, u only need one if the car comes out with one.

You will have to meet the emissions requirements that that car made when it was new, so if your leaving the original engine in it and getting a new exhaust, you wont need a cat converter.

If you put a LS1 from a VY SS then you have to meet the emissions from the VY SS, but if you buy a crate motor with no engine number as it is new, you only have to meet emissions of the VK.

Thats my understanding anyways, sorry if thats a bit off topic.

and now to answer your next question: "What exhaust should you get", ive got gene extractors, 2.5" mild steel and a lukey muffler at the back, sounds awesome...
