Wink Need to replace wiper motor water deflector cover on vb vc

Greetings. I need to replace the black plastic water deflector covering the heater box/wiper motor situated in the plenium space on my VC wagon. My cover has completely rotted away.

All inquiries with dealers indicate part is NLA. No chance of a replacement from wreckers and these covers are either missing or in worst condition that mine. Does anyone have any ideas as to a replacement option? What have others used to cover these parts from water coming in through the vents in the bonnet ?

    Hoping to get some feedback.

I'm in a similar situation. So far I've been able to tape up the cracks, but it's going to be beyond repair soon.
There is a guy that makes up fibreglass covers on one of the forums (I think Street Commodores), but problem is they cover the entire plenum - no cutouts for the air vent intakes. So no good if you want to use your ventilation system.

I guess you could could cut them to suit, but I'm hoping to find another alternative.

i think some people have made one up out of stainless or something and got it polished to bling it up.

its really dissapointing that they dont make a replacement part thru anywhere, luckily the one on my vb isn't that bad.

Ok seems that these covers are as scarce as rocking horse poo. So What are you restro boys doing? A previous post indicated someone made one up out of stainless. Any photoes out there? Seems like there are quite a few of us looking for these items. I am sure someone has come up with a brilliant idea how about sharing.
