Hey,
just got the 350 holley running on VK black 202 engine, and can anyone tell me if you can get a modified air filter box base to suit holley but keep original air box? I have seen many chrome air filters to suit what I need, but want a factory look.
Has anyone hacked up the original base to fit holley, if so how did you get a good tight seal?
thanks jas
disregard, I had to go with a hollet air filter.
hey was puting a 350 holly on hard? how much? il have a go if it aint too expensive lol then il tell ya how i did it! im pretty good with figuring shit out but hafta actually be doing it to figure it out lol!
EFI would be better, but holley seems to go well so far, but it is a project car and not on road yet.
It was very easy, just need 350 holley, adapter plate for original manifold, v8 accelerator cable, air filter(s),,,little one for rocker cover and one for carby.
I picked up my holley for stuff all on ebay, and even if you need to put a kit through it I think they are only $50-ish, but mine runs fine as is.
U have to turn the accelerator cable bracket around and bend it a little. (I also put a better spring on it) but otherwise with all the bits its only a few hours of tinkering and done.
I did it all for under $150- but new would cost more like $400-500ish I think.
HUME carbys has them rebuilt for about $300-
