ok iv had the idea for some time now! and now i have my old vk with major rear end damage, im gonna get the grinder out and find an old hq ute tray and turn the vk into a ute! im not really phased if it aint road legal but what are some ideas to make it ridged and strong? thinkin its gonna be a burnout bus! or if i get right into it il make it like a show car! anyone wana give me some ideas and stuff? this thread is like a brain stoming session! im open to any ideas!![]()
Maybe use the whole HQ chassis, rip off the cab, and cut the front of the VK shell down to fit on the chassis. That's prolly the easiest way to do it without chopping a wagon down.

yup i will. could take a while cos im gonna finish my torana which has been sittin in mums shed for last couple years! was my first car. promised her id never sell her!still fittin the efi 202 in her at the moment! after that il go ahead with the vk ute as my project while i drive my torrana around! my new vk is gonna be turned into a show car!
usually they start with a wagon because of suspention i think but good luck
ok thanx for the tip. im pullin the suspention out anyways cos its got aftermarket set up il be puttin on my new vk. so il have a custom set up on the ute! somethin really stiff!
