just wondering can you use the vs v8 powersteer rack or do you have
to change to a vn v8 rack? done the conversion b4 and used vn v8 rack
and k frame.
I put a VS K-frame and rack into my VH - no probs apart from having to use a VL intermediate steering shaft to connect the column to the rack
i noticed vn has a splined shaft and this one dosent
was yours the same?
hi guys what are the advantages of using a later model k frame, ive read something about having better clearences for extractors?, do they accept the same link pins
Advantages are more exhaust clearance between steering rack and sump.
the vh racks are physically larger and leave little clearance.
I had issues with carbed 304 vn heads etc the extractor hit on both
steering rack and sump causing an oil leak.
changing to the vn v8 k frame and vn v8 steering rack gives alot more room.
keep in mind you also need a vl 6cyl intermediate steering shft as
the vn v8 racks are shorter in height.
