Probably better off going to a larger amp alternator, say a 120amp, or more, and then running a second battery, and big capacitors for the stereo's amps.
That's what a lot of guys do with big sound systems, the set-up can get pretty complex though.

yea but ya gotta change a bunch of other stuff if ya change over the altinator right? i got another old altinator sittin in the shed which i think is 120 but not sure. the car runs fine and took us forever to fix wiring problems on the engine so dont really wanna go changin shit there. what would be the down side of a second separate battery and altinator?

if its stock its either 45A or 55A 6 or eight. they are crap. 140A alternators are about 250 bucks, single wire hookup which means your battery warning light will no longer work, but there is no need to change anything else. just run the fat-arse cable supplied to the battery and away you go.

PS. there are no bosses on the engine to fit two alternators and the drain on your crank pulley would just not be worth it.

just curious mate, 5 15" subs???? how do they all fit? i have one 15" and it requires a 60L sealed box not leaving that much room in my VX boot once the amps n everytthing are in there.... even a wagon 5 subs would be packed solid i would think lol. can he even see out the back?

but there is plenty of high performance alternators available, sure its already been mentioned, i didnt read through them all. let us all know how it all goes.
