Removal Front/Rear Screen SLE Chrome mould

Does any one know the best way or tricks on removing the front/rear screen SLE chrome moulds.

I am afraid the SLE type of windscreen moulds on the front and back windows can only be removed after the window has been taken out of the body. These moulds are fitted into the rubber strip prior to fitting the window, and "lock in" to the rubber seal, once the window and rubber assembly is in the car body. The lower spec Commodores use the silver plastic insert that is removed before the window and rubber assembly is taken off the car. Therefore are fitted last after the window has been installed into the car body.
