when i brought the car it was running fair sweeet.
but like, when i accelerate it goes like put put put put put as it creeps faster..
(super slowly btw)
and i changed engine oil and did a engine flush had the transmission got a service
changed plugs leads and all filters
but it still does it
the fuel tank itsself needs a clean but im avoiding doing that cos it seems way hard to do..
like to take out...
any ideas??

Timing & carb problem possible kit needed , more severe if its been thrashed a cam problem
EFI timing and above cam issue or vacume leak
or just that its a 202 :P

ya got the efi right? try tightening the manifold bolts. mine were tones loose and was screwin it up big time. just my 2c![]()
I suggest you buy 2 books Genuine Holden VB commodore workshop manual and VK commodore suppliment. You need both manuals for the VK, VC-VH as well if you want to get all the info but those 2 will get you into enough trouble and are way better than any gregories or haynes manual.
VB - there are heaps on ebay so go for a look and get a bargin, under $20 is a good price up to $50 for a mint one.

VK ones currently not on ebay but keep looking they come up
Look for the big red thing under the bonnet and find the nuts that hold it on the motor and make sure they are tight. Also make sure the air intake tube is tight
Timing is controlled by the distributor a 14mm or 9/16th spanner is used to loosen it then you turn the dizzy to retard or advance the timing. If you dont know what your doing you could set the timing wrong, cuase detonation under load and stuff your motor so find out how to do it properly first.
You could also have a leak on the vacume advance on the dizzy, depending on if its connected correctly eg. it may run ok cold but not hot

yer i know somone that owns like 90000000000000000000000000000 workshop manuals,
ill try grab a lend of them off him..
and im pretty sure the air intake tube is on properly
is their any chance it could be from the battery not getting enuf charge or anything?
cos ive had alot of battery problems. and just put in a new battery but havnt had a chance to go for a drive
also their is a big ass hole in the exhaust about where front left door is dno if that changes anything??
yer but the big red thing with the bolts on it, im pretty sure they are tight but i could bearly get my rachet in there to attack it -.-
