My 202 out of my VH SL/E has finally started working again!!! anyway getting back to the point it starts really well but the only thing is that it wont idle you have to sit slightly on the accelerator so it doesn't stall. any suggestions on why it does that? btw it runs on both lpg and petrol...i know
mmmk. and i might sound really stupid but how do u do that lol
if its efi, i have nfi lol. if its carb then its easy.
[mark the position of the dizzy first] twist the dizzy counter-clockwise an incy-wincy-bit. about 3mm to advance the timing. you may need to undo a 14mm (9/16th) retaining bolt at the bottom of the dizzy, im not a huge 6 cylinder guy though so i dont know where it is.
if it isnt the timing, then there will be an idle screw somewhere. you can find it by opening and closing the throttle and somewhere there will be a little screw that stops the trottle blade. just tighten that 1/4 of a turn.
timing should really be set with a light, but advancing it a degree or two shouldnt hurt. if you notice it pinging later, then put the dizzy back to where you marked it and just use the idle screw.
