hey guys,
will be replacing my 3 speed trimatic with a aussie 4 spd manual very shortly. i have everything i need for the conversion but am just after a pretty detailed description on the steps if any 1 has done 1 b4. i have a good idea of what to do but have never done a manual swap b4 and don't wana stuff it up by missing anything. cheers for any help guys. really appreciate it

Not really much ya can 'miss'. Make sure ya put a spigot bearing in the back of ya crank (cost under $10 for a newy), torque the flywheel up, torque the clutch. If it's a new clutch, ya normally gotta adjust the pivot point of the clutch fork (otherwise ya clutch might not disengage properly), not 100% sure how to set it up tho....we didn't do it when we put ours 2gether and the clutch wouldn't disengage, so had to pull the motor and box back out, split it and adjust the pivot out, then put it all back together and back in the car lol.
When ya put the manual pedal box in, it's easiest to pull the bottom of the dash out and drop the steering column (2 nuts to undo on the steering column) so ya can maneuverer the old pedal box out and new one in.
It's not a hard job really...on the older Commo's that is. Just takes a bit of time.
