Hey everyone, have just convertd my VK royale to 308 and got rid of the trimatic and put a celica gear box in it.Didnt buy a conversion kit,i bought the box with an adapted HDT bellhousing. All bolted up fine and i have the pedal box in.However i cant get the clutch to work. The pedal is very light for about three quarters of the travel then goes really hard.Broke the end off a clutch cable trying to set it up.Still wont work.
I was told there was two different options on pressure plates, one has raised diaphragm fingers, the other has flat fingers.I am using the flat finger one and a holden release bearing.
Anyone got any ideas?
clutch plate in backwards does it

Got a mate to come help today and found that the fork is hitting the pressure plate.Got any ideas?
i once had a clutch that was bent, therefore clutch would not engage properly, it should be dead straight. just a thought.
Is the pivot ball adjustable? on mine it was and was right in causing the fork to hit on the cut out in the bellhousing.
Clutch is straight, and yea pivot point is adjustable.Might try wind that out today and see how i get on...
sorry meant to write clutch fork, it should be dead straight.
Yea fork is also straight.I have the clutch working now but it still touches right at the bottom of its stroke.Had to machine a lip off the pressure plate.
