V8 radiator so the outlets are in the right place, at least for a VN don't know about ecotech. The small Salisbury will probably break. You should also upgrade the brakes. I don't know about needing a donor car, I just put a V6 VN into a VC and used very little from the VN and I didn't have a wreck in the backyard that I had to dispose of. Use a power steering rack from a VL or VN with appropriate intermediate shaft. I used a VL column complete. it's cheaper than replacing the pump with an idler pulley. The cheapest way to set up the fuel system is to replace the tank with one from a VL as it has the internal lift pump and I then used an upgrade Pierburg EFI pump. To do it properly is not cheap. PM me if you want more details on prices etc.
Well, depends on how lucky you can get...
My girlfriend paid $220, for a complete running VP, and have stripped it bare. The shell is at the scrap yard, leaving us with all the panels, and all the interior to sell off to make some money back for it all.
We're using the front crossmember, engine, gearbox, wiring harness, LSD diff, brake booster / master cylinder, all suspension, brakes, tail shaft - (either need half of a VL one, or shorten this one for $150) fuel tank, and fuel lines.
And also putting the VP dash into the VH, something different.
If the steering column fits, that too
And the bonnet struts
Theres probly more, but thats all I can come up with atm, and well you get the idea.
We're half way through doing it so there may be something else we might need/use of the VP still.
IMO if you're going to do it, its cheaper to buy a donor car, as already suggested - if we were to buy all that seperately it'd cost an arm and a leg...![]()
