    Default Ignition Barrel

I want to upgrade my security on Vh Commodore and I was wondering can I install a Ignition Barrel from a VZ or something similar as they are harder to jimmy etc?

From a VZ? some one say that i'm wrong, but that would be almost impossible, completely different. Why not buy a steering wheel stick (forget what its called) that stops the steering wheel from turning. and put a padlock on the gear selector, no one will steal the car then

if they want to steal it its gone no matter whats in the way , best alarm will only slow them down , steering wheel locks easily defeated , kill switches easy to override , yet to see any defense against a tilt tray ?

Can't imagine anyone going to that much trouble to steal an old 6 banger commodore. Maybe for an original Brocky or Shelby........

Joyriders are your main concern, good solid 'Crook Lock' as they used to call them (steering wheel brace), padlock on the auto shifter, kill switch as all mentioned above, even a flashing light on the dash should deter would be thieves - they will then move on to a softer target.

ive heard a rottweiler on the passenger seat works well.... not very good for the apolostery though.

i have also seen people wheel clamping their own cars in railway station car parks. i reckon that'd be pretty damn effective.
