My paddock bomb has a gas conversion kit in it, and it was running on gas when i bought it. It didnt stay running long enough to run out of gas and make me switch it to fuel so i'm not sure if it works. But i did try once, and the car just turned off so i assumed it did have a fuel system but it was just empty. Yesterday i was cleaning all the broken glass out of it and noticed the gas to fuel switch isnt even connected! And seeing as it's a paddock bomb, i can't drive it to town and fill up the gas tank. I've decided to just rip the gas tank out and keep it on fuel but would it just be easier to run some fuel line straight to the new motor when its in or will the gas tank cause problems because i've noticed both the filler caps on the outside of the car run straight to the it. Is this normal?
I guess this was a stupid question as i had a good look today and no, it's still there. And after ripping the gas tank apart i found the one of the tubes has shit in it, but doesn't actually connect to one of the filler caps so i guess its all good. Ripped out all the gas lines and whatnot. Removing the tank is turning into a real headache.
