lol, personally i wouldnt ever post ebay links to something i want to buy, in case someone else on here gets the brilliant idea to bid as well

i think you have a borg warner dont you? so youll need to change tail shaft for the salisbury, then pay the astronomical price of 15 bucks per bolt for two long V8 U bolts

Why would he need U bolts in a Commodore? It will go straight in, apart from the rear uni I think, but just swap the pinion flange over and it should be right.

yeah the U bolts are for the rear yolk to bolt the tail shaft onto the diff. V8 salisburys have longer ones than HQ and 6 cylinder salisbury so wreckers think they can charge stupid prices for them... which they kinda can... well i paid it anyway. found out the hard way that when it feels like its tight, it is.. dont 'nip' it up, cos they are not that strong. then you are faced with getting to a wrecker somehow with no tailshaft.

you got a borg warner? efi vk. i thought all them were borgs. the difference is where the tailshaft bolts up to the diff. if there are 2 u bolts its a salisbury, if its 4 bolts its a borg warner.

Your diff is a Borg Warner and it has a flanged yoke. You can change to the Salisbury in the eBay link but you will have to change the rear half of your driveshaft to suit the U bolt yoke as stated above. The Salisbury LSDs are slightly better than the Borg Warner ones as they are slightly larger, but same basic design which isn't great. The ratio will be different too so you'll need to change your speedo drive gear.

With regard to the info about spools in the other thread, its backwards. With your current diff you can fit a mini spool to an open centre but not LSD. For the Salisbury its the other way around. Spool is a bad idea anyway.
