New lock sets

hey guys, i'm fixing up a vh wagon at the moment and want to replace the locks as the key only works in the passenger side and ignition. i found some kits on ebay that have 2 door locks, ignition barrel and boot lock, just curious if the wagon boot lock is the same as the sedan boot lock?

did you notice if it was the same locks on a wagon as a sedan?

i cant get you a good answer, (sorry) but the rear mechanism on the ebay sets are removable. so it is quite possible that you can pop the mechanism off your boot lock and change it with the sedan one. the barrels.cylinders them selves are the same. AND if you cant take the thing off the back of it, you can slide out the cylinder of both locks and swap them over. it takes a bit of tinkering, you have to bend the little tabs on the back of the facia so it comes off, then unclip the retainer fo the pins (dont let them fly out!) on both and do a straight swap. then you ill use your old lock, but the new key.

ah that makes sense, so i could slide the barrel out and pop it into the wagon body if need be. sounds pretty good to me.

Hi there this has nothing to do with your lock question but i noticed that you are after a steering wheel for you VH in green, well my reply is that i have an SLE wheel that i removed from my car for a sports wheel. I am currently building a VH with V6 3800 motor and a lot of other changes from the VH anyway if you want you can have the wheel for $75 plus post, i am in Golden Square Victoria the wheel is pretty much in good condition minor wear on it and no flexing on the outside like a lot tend to go after years of use the only spot that may need attention is the horn pad bit that has a small split but is not bad i have added a pic to show you.
