vk instruments

Hi everyone. I have a vk 134 pack and the instrument cluster has the locating tags broken off so the instruments just flop around in the dash. I went to the wreckers today and got a 6 cyl cluster in good nick. Trouble is it has an economy gauge. Can the tacho from the v8 dash go into the 6 cyl dash or will i have to change the circuit board or something? Thanks in advance.

nope its lacking the circuits & contacts for the tacho, you will need to strip both clusters downa nd buil one up out of the 2.

Thanks for the reply Scott. Yep i hooked in, pulled the cluster to bits, carefully swapped the circuit board and instruments over and everything works perfectly. Anyone looking at doing something similar be very gentle. Everything is very brittle and very easily broken.
