8VK69 is a SL model sedan. If it was 8VX69, thats SL/E

In VB range, there was Commodore, lower end of the brand, SL, mid level and top of the tree SL/E. Usually SL had ribbed cloth trim on seats.

in that brochure it says that the SL got tinted glass all round, but my glass seems perfectly clear... weird. also, my SL doesn't have cloth seats, must have been an option?

ps. isn't that a vc one page one of that 'vb' brochure. and it says commodore 2.

Funny enough, the ribbed cloth was meant to be standard but i've seen a few VB SL's with basic vinyl.
AFAIK, only the SL/E got the green tint windows factory. The other models had clear glass.

The following is what was standard on the VB SL over the base model

    - cloth seats
    - rear inertia seatbelts
    - automatic tranny
    - 3.3L six
    - volt/oil pressure gauges
    - rosewood finish on instrument panel
    - silver finish on rear panel
    - chrome strip on dashboard
    - chrome wheel trim rings
    - seat height adjuster

there were option packages available; and the automatic tranny and the cloth seats could be replaced with delete options. When I got my VB it too had the SLE rear bumper. for mine is a base model and I was getting back to as factory as possible, i fitted a correct rear bumper.

Only VC and VHs. Vbs never ever had them. And only on optioned VCs.

Nope, SLs had the silver, SL/Es had the black. Only time SL/Es got silver is a respray later on in life.
