Dressing up a VC,

Hi guys,
1st timer just joined!. Looking to trade info/stories with other VB/VC owners into their unmodified models.Anyone had repeat cold start carbie issues (3.3 blue motor with vario-jet) even after spending big $$ on re builds and running ONLY prem ULP?. Cheers

- has the varajet been put on and tightened properly? i just did (reco'd it) mine and would run great when warmed up but wouldnt start cold, in the end the issue was that the place that reco'd the carby hadnt done up the bolts properly and fuel was leaking :/ so there was no fuel in the bowl, luckily i found and cleaned up the fuel before going too far, also check the bolts holding it onto motor aswell. there is one around the back that they hadnt tightened properly because it was hard to get to, so they just halfassed it and the fuel leaked :/

so the problem was when warm plenty of fuel in bowl but when left for a while fuel leaked and would have to prime her again (tried filling her up by turning it over but by the time it fills battery is flat)

- could also be that your fast idle has moved, and now wont idle the car cold properly
- or the choke isn't working properly? common problem with the varajet
