hi all (i'm new here so if this isn't the place to post, sorry) anyhoo do you need an engine re-build to bolt on a turbo to a vk 6 or will it work at a fair efficiency without a re-build?
a mate of mine is into turboing 4wds hell just bolt them to any engines, ( and make all the piping ect) but no engine work, if the motors nadded and theres no point hell tell ya that (most of his customers are only a few years old).
but the engines he rebuilds for turbo make more power.
horse-power is directly proportional to cash flow
Yes you will need to rebuild it otherwise it will ping its tits off. Lower compression ratio plus other things are needed to be suitable.
if you need to lower the compression ratio you can install a thickerhead gasket the turbo guys can put you onto a decompression plate or if your serious an o-ringed copper gasket.
