Default VK Not starting no spark

hey guys new to the forum and not that great with cars so not sure on part names and stuff but ill try lol
vk 202 black with varajet ii

i had the car running today and while looking under the bonnet i notice a loose wire near the carby, so i grabbed it(not thinking to turn it off and disconnect batt) and as i did that it made contact the to top pin on a small module screwed to the carby. it had "HARTMANN" printed on it. as soon as it touched and sparked ad the car stalled.
i now know what the wire was for it goes on to a cylinder type thing attched to the carby.
no the car wont start and i have 12v at the coil put a new coil in and still no spark.
so does anyone know what the small module it and what i may have done to damaged something.
    and fixes?

cheers guys hope you know what i mean

can get pics if you need

    Pics will help.

At the back of the carb, you have your choke module. The wire attached to it is 12v to heat the spring inside.

If you have touched your loose wire to this, 12v to the ECU may have borked it.

Could it be the anti dieseling solenoid?
I know that the wire is live as I found out the hard way also.
