Help with diff ratio? Vh

hey guys i have a 83 vh wagon whitch i blew the diff. 308 with tubo400 trans with a (4cyl diff i think? wont let me go over 180km?) just wanted to find out if i have to put a 4cyl diff back in or can i put the V8 diff. 3:08 in? size diffrence etc ? not to wise on the cars but would appreciate any feed back .cheers

yeah you can swap the diff over for a V8 diff. Just make sure the diff is from a wagon (sedan & wagon axle housings are different)
only thing you might have to change is the back half of the tailshaft as the uni-joints were bigger on the V8 diffs
