and need a mechanic who knows vk's i live in fairfield nsw plz
Any reputable mechanic will be able to help you, most would have touched an early commy at some stage and a VK isnt the most sophisticated piece of machinery to start with if they havent, the mechanic should be able to help you out and fix anything you wish.
what he just said AND go to your local repco/bursons/supercheap and get a gregory's. the best mechanic for your car is you.
Agreed but use the max elary's workshop manual! It's alot better and explained in more detail!
The word REPUTABLE is key here. I have made the misake in the past of taking my VH to the local guy assuming that as it was an old holden that they would know it inside out. WRONG. Ask them first if they are familiar or expericenced with old commodores - not every mechanic did his apprentiship on VK's.................
ok thanks ,its a red 202 injected thinking of a carby setup i was going to put a v8 in it but have been told i can't unill i have my full licence
whatever you do don't use the max ellery manuals. The blue one for the commodore is poorly written, has missing information and even the spelling and grammar are not correct. Get a factory one off ebay, or a gregorys.
