have a vk with king springs in the ass it sits nose down normally put a car trailer on it with a commy on bored the vk sat level so did the trailer but it felt like the rear end on the vk was moving around
the vk drives and handles fine with out a trailer any ideas
Are the trailer brakes working correctly?
Everything secure?
How much weight did you have on the towball?
^^^ thats it mate. the VK were not as bad as the others cos' they put that stupid reinforcing bar on the boot floor, but i still wouldnt tow a car with one. hence me asking if the rear doors still close.
The VK will never feel right with that sort of weight on it, they simply aren't designed for it. You can get a second reinforcement that goes under the fuel tank which might stop the back end from folding up like a tin can, but the suspension and weight of the car are still completely unsuited to heavy towing.
We've towed cars on trailers plenty of times with old Commodores. Didn't realise it was unsafe. Never noticed anything wrong with the cars afterwards either.

we ended up using a vh to tow the trailer it didnt like the hills back to first lol but we were towing the trailer at 80 clicks with out a prob were the vk was scary at 60 clicks we tried moving the car as far forward as poss but made no difference i used to tow a double horse trailer with my vh for years
