Get a turbo 400 mount this will bolt to your gear box and to you existing vc crossmember. The holes in the cross member will not line up with the holes in the chasis. Weld some 40x40 angle pieces to the ends of your cross member and drill 4 holes in the angles to line up with the holes in your chasis or buy one already made from Castlemaine Rod Shop.

You end up with something like this but your welding will be much better. Mine went through engineering. My son and I put a turbo RB30 in his VH and I am currently putting in a supercharged VS S11 engine in my VB. I have a bit of experience whenit comes to engine transplants. Sounds like a good project. Any photos?

i can put some pics up i spose its not much too look at just an old L series hasnt been painted yet interior is still like new, a lot of work still to come, she has been sitting for about 2 years since my dad and I pulled the old starfire out. I am also thinking about turbo but i just wanna get it started for now.

yes i am using the vl 5 spd box.

this is my first time doing something like this, a good start for a 19yo electrical apprentice
And thanks again i didnt think id get this much feedback its great.
