there is a small horse shoe shape clip in behind it, sometimes they come off easy but other times the can be a pain.
There is a clip, its not circlip. You need a special tool to get them off, or you can use a screw driver but using that makes the clip disappear!
Can't remember the clip name.

is it a black looking thing? cause i cant see no clip
Get a rag in behind the pivot so that it catches on the end of the clip, should pull straight out. They look like this:

ahh k ill take a look at it in day light 2morrow .. ill let u knw how i go.
I just get a piece of rag and slide the straight edge behind the winder handle, and then pull the rag side to side. It will catch the clip and pop it out. Takes a bit of practice, but once you've got the knack, you'll get the clip out every time.
Otherwise, most supercheap or repco stores sell the proper tool
Rag and screw driver did the job
Now does anyone know how to reassemble the door handle lock mechanism? i just dont want to take the other door trims off to have a look.
