Help with fuel injection problem

Hey all got a small promlem. I just bought a beautiful Vk with fuel injection, When i started it this morning the idle jumped up and down and then the car stalled. It hasen't started since. There is a strong smell of fuel when i turn it over and the plugs are wet with fuel when i checked them. it sounds like it wants to fire but wont. Any ideas or advice would be greatly appriciated.

Sounds like something similar that happend to me
Revs go like high low high really low then high then stall haha

But mine was battery I think cos I jump started it
Then it worked then it did I again turns out the afm was faulty tho
Dunno how that works...?

Oh and gregories manual says I could be
1.Faulty ignition signal
2.faulty fuel pump or connections
3. Faulty coolant temperature sensor
4.faulty AFM
5. Faulty auxzillary air valve???

Have you checked for spark? I know a lot of those old Holden 6 + 8's is the gear on the bottom of the distributors break and the distributor won't turn?
