Have just replaced the centre bearing on the shaft and when I reinstalled it one of the hook up bolts is stripped. So now what do I do?I have removed the carpet hoping to find the welded on nut but can't see it.Where is it and how do I get to it?Thanks in advance to the Gurus.
A quick and dirty solution would be to drill and tap for a slightly larger bolt
Yeah had to drill and re-tap one in my old VH. It worked.

All I have to say is
heli-coil
else you can mig up the inside of the nut drill it and re tap the thread again.

I second heli-coil.
All of the above are good ideas, whatever you do dont take the 'she'll be right' approach and stick it in with a whole heap of loctite.
