hey guys
iv been looking at the steering wheels with the 2 holes on each arm and i cant find any that are black leather or just black with the holes in the arms.
do you think it would be illegal to drill holes in a aftermarket steering wheel or would it just weaken the structure
you want to drill holes in the thing that keeps your car driving straight? id suggest reading your post again, and asking yourself the same thing.
hahaha trust me i no what im on about iv done heaps of stupid shit before so i guess it can add to it
Just because you have done "stupid shit" in the past does not justify you doing "stupid shit" now.

a quick google reveals that the autotechnica branded boss kits should fit momo wheels. just a matter of finding out the pcd of the holes on the momo wheel and compare it to an autotechnca bosskit, that or just call autotechnica.
you can't modify a steering wheel - period. If a steering wheel was designed and passed ADR standards with holes in the spokes or a single spoke steering wheel then it has passed safety tests as it is. However, if you modify a steering wheel, it no longer conforms to ADR standards.
I know that SAAS boss kits fit Momos - looks the same as a Momo boss kit as well.
yeah the screw pattern in the center is pretty generic, and most boss kits have a universal pattern anyway,
did you get a rwc with the above wheel ?
We had a similar wheel and it got kicked in the arse at rwc there reason being the original wheel had crash padding on it the car was a Vk .
Is that correct or just ole mates version of the rules?
Boozer, I've got a VL with a very similar wheel to the one pictured, and to pass RWC from the previous owner, the original 'crash padded' steering wheel had to be fitted. Something about the center being metal on the after market one meaning it wasn't as safe for the driver in a crash as the one that came with the car.
You're not alone on that one
lol, yeah nah. they are not RWC. different size and as mention no head pad.
but OP didnt really say anything about rwc![]()
Where would 1 stand if 1 were to have changed it back to the sports wheel then had a good accident any know ?
you reckon the insurance would want to pay up? As I have a bad driving record and liability only .
Not game to be putting it back on. I also think the cop will know. The 1 doing a rwc will lots of them are into cars too the few Ive talked to here and there (usually try not to talk to them) know shit loads about cars
