Default Cat convertor heat shield in EFI conversion

Hey guys what have you done in your EFI conversions in the old girls to shield the heat from the CAT convertor? I was thinking of trying to cut the VN one out where its welded then bolting it to the VH.. Anyone done that? Otherwise what have you used instead? Be keen to hear..

    Cheers.

Yep. Theres a metal heat shield welded into the floor above the cat convertor on the VN and other models too no doubt. It stops the floor under the passenger getting hot as the CAT convertor produces lotsa heat. Ive seen photos of melted carpet on floors where theres been no shield. Just wondering what people have done on their converted cars....?

    Cheers.

Im not running any heat shields for my cats, prob be a good idea to do it though my floow gets bloody hot, I do have thick fire retardant cotton underlay under the carpet which reduces the heat a bit.

I would also see if you could get it ceramic coated

    cheers
    Scott
