Just wondering if there are any issues with dropping in a VS Senator 5.7 motor and box into the VC V8?
Specifically, is the box worth putting in?

Should be fine if you use the VS wiring loom etc as the computer controls the engine and the box. People comonly use the VN and VP box in a conversion because it doesn't rely on the computer. I'm sure I have read that the tunnel will need "massaging" to make it fit.

yeah tunnel needs to be relived just forward of the trans crossmember about 5-10mm deep and about 15cm long.

I had a vp v8 fitted to my vb about 12 years ago. Long time ago but I don't remember the transmission tunnel having to be massaged. The vn-vp box is a better bet when it comes to connecting the speedometer.
