hey i was told that vk v6's are big piles of **** engines and it would be pushing my luck to find one that would still do burnouts and have any decent power no i was wonderin wether that is true or not and what i would have to do to make the car half decent and some ruff prices on the mods.

Thanx

VK 6s aren't sh*t...
The Black 202s go pretty hard especially with a manual gearbox behind them.
And theyre fairly trustworthy engines, just makre sure you get a decent one to start with.
And mods... well, were you thinking of getting the carbied 202 or EFI? VKs came out with both.

The EFI 202s went very well and responds very well to CAM and head work, any thing furth requires a fair amount of work.
They come factory with extractors which work very well on even heavily modified 202s.
You will find all EFI VKs were autos the only manual examples have been converted after leaving holden.

Of all the 202s My pick is the EFI VK.

Hey mate, i got a 84 Vk EFi, and yeah they dont go that good with power, in the wet, they do awesome burn outs, in the dry is another story all together, tho the diff in commodore VB to VK arnt real good for doing burn outs in..there really weak, if u want a burnout machine i say get a new diff and but a Group A ss engine in it.

you are joking right? why not jsut get a group A ss?

You'd be better off just getting a efi v8 out of a VN onwards.
