B&M Pro ratchet shifter

Hey, I'm having no end of trouble setting up a pro ratchet shifter to my trimatic. I have the aditional bkts for fitting to the trimatic but just can not get it to select the gears with out a lot of force. Has anyone experienced the same thing. How can I overcome this?

[B]Gday VHrager i have a B&M megashifter fitted to my VB and the shifter was very firm to start with then got better over time.

i havent installed it to a trimatic before, i have done it to my old TH700, the problem i had with mine was it was shifting way to early, like i would do about 40km/h and already be in 4th gear....all i done was finished the installation off, then the next day i took it to a transmission place and they just adjusted it all up properly for me....you might have to do the same...

hey may as well hack this thread since its dead anyway,

so any of you have detailed pics of the workings inside the shifter? this may sound strange but i was wondering if i could take the ratchet action and add it to the column shift in the impala
