Just had some dramas with a miss on my efi vh commodore....it turned out to be the wire crimp on the lug on the wire that runs from battery terminal negative to body where it is bolted to the panel near the radiator...it had slowly developed a high resistance between wire and crimp on lug and although it seemed tight wasnt giving a good connection and it was changing as the engine was running playing havoc with the efi....the actual wire is pretty small and looks like it doesnt do much but it is very important....even to the brilliance of your headlights. Thats how I found it ...turned the lights on and wiggled it and the lights flickered.
