what auto boxes bolt directley onto a 308 red mtr...excluding the trimatic!

Depends what 308 red motor you have. Some have the trimatic bolt pattern that manual boxes will bolt up to as well. The other is the turbo bolt pattern that had Turbo hydra 350 or 400 boxes bolted to them.

nah mate you can get bell housings that will fit to suit your pattern
or you could be drastic and get your block re-drilled
have a look at crs(castlemaine rod shop) and malwood see what they have.

Exactly,all things being equal the trimatic equipped car will run quicker everytime.If there was a decent aftermarket input shaft then it would be the bomb,its the only thing extreme abuse kills in my trimatic(2min+ skids revers to first ect)

The only thing the T700 has over the trimatic imo is the first gear ratio,not a real biggy though.

ive always thort they are faily good but some have said they suck they power from the drive train.....
it has a stg2 shift kit in it and shifts quite sweet... i was just thinkin of different options and some mentioned t350 or 400's
but still not 100% sure, i may stick with the tri as its done me no harm
