I am sure this has probably been asked, but i couldn't find anything.
Does anyone have any info on how to go about making a VK ute out of a wagon.
Or another member with picture's of how they did it?
Thanks in advance,
i've seen pics of one if you want them ?
I have a few picture's, thanks anyway.
Just cant find how people have built them.
if i was building one I would have a good look at a H series 1 tonner and also the later model commodore ute rear cabins. I would try and use the tailgate of the wagon for the rear window and the other half of the tailgate as the tailgate of the ute tray. The panel below the window of the cabin I would consider using a panel off either later commodore ute or a H series ute or maybe more of the original VK wagon tailgate you might need 2 for the project. I would cut out the original fooly of the wagon off the chassis rails and either have a new floor bent up by a sheet metal place or get one out of a latter model commodore etc tray.
As the roof would be cut off you will beed to consider bracing the chassis so the car doesnt sag you will need to speak to an automotive engineer to ask them what they want to see there.
