Hi All,
I am having major problems getting my Auto 6 EFI VK running, I put in a fresh motor and everything seems to be how it came out, but when I'm trying to get it started it just does not run properly if at all. I have done the timing as instructed by some of the awesome tech post's on here and another site but I am thinking the flywheel may be out?
Is this right does anyone know? Also I'm hearing the speed sensor could be an issue? I have looked on my box and it didn't have one when I pulled it out........ Very confused.
Any help would be fantastic,
Cheers

Ummm, auto? It would have a flex plate not flywheel.

Only EST carby vks ran the cas sensor on the flexplate efi use a hei dissy to pick up signal

Just run over all your sensors and make sure they are all plugged in, if i remember right it has a throttle position sensor, a mas air flow sensor, a coolant temperature sensor and an auxiliary air valve somewhere. Im pretty sure it also has a wire to the coil or dizzy so it knows engine speed as well.
Spray some aero start in the intake and see if it gives a kick then you know its the injection side, if not check your ignition system for good spark ect.
Sweet as, thanks for the info everyone.
It runs sometimes after i've reset the timing but it sounds like it's not firing on all cylinders and backfires a crap load, so i'll check all sensors and stuff in the morning and give it another go.
Cheers again.

hace you removed your dissy lately sounds like it may be 180 degrees out

Change your balancer, the outer hemisphere has moved from the inner one and will let go in not to long, it will either slide in like mine did and hit the timing cover, or if your unlucky slide off and go through the radiaitor or god knows where else. Your belts will all get noisy and squeaky if it decides to move. Not a pleasant noise let me assure you.
yeah they make horrible noises when they dissapear under the car at 100kmh LOL
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
