    vk, red 202 trans slipping and whining when hot, fluid is right has been over filled though any thoughts

    I would say shes due for a replacement or rebuild, the bands inside are probably worn out.

    Yeah its screwed , to much oil has caused excess pressure an has blown the arse out of it . Sorry . Cheapest option is to just get a second handy from the wreckers an chuck her in .

    Trimatics can be overfilled (*by the dipstick anyway) and nothing happens, not like the new high tech ones, in fact most work best when filled to the brim.

    Dont worry too much they are pretty straight forward to remove, just dont forget to take out your torque converter bolts as lots of people forget and then it wont budge.
