hi guys just wondering should i bolt the torque converter to the fly wheel first then fit auto or leave it in the box and fit as one ( IN VK )
leave it in the box as you have to line up the pump to the notches in the convertor. too hard the other way around as you rish stuffing the gear box
where the centre nob on the torque converter goes into the flywheel it seem to be getting stuck and wont pull up flush to the motor any ideas
is the torque convertor firmly aligned in the gearbox? if its not sitting right it may be your problem. also the locating pins on the block might not be sitting in their holes
When I did mine the box while was on the ground I spun the torque converter and pushed it in at the same time, Turn and push at the same time, took about 3 stages then it was good to go,just make sure it don't move out when installing onto car.Align the dowels and never use a spanner until the bolts are done by figer tight first.
Oh and did you find the EST sensor thingo on the back?
I found mine when it was too late and got trashed.
