    Default Vk Emmisions crap

okay. ive taken the stupid vk emmisions crap offve my vk. and im now trying to plug the hole where the emmsions rail thing used to be.
im talking about the pipe the has 6 outlets/inlets on it and it runs under the exhaust manifold and out to a pump in which they are pumped to another useless place..
im a bit frazzled and this post might not make sense. but if you know what im on about and have been where i am now, it would be great if you told me how you plugged up the holes in your head so i can do the same.
ive been down to bursons and pirtek and neither of them have a bung type thing that will fit or seal in there...
    help. please!

Will have to have a look at the 3.3 EFI engine i have as i believe it has the same head but with bungs, my VK's old 202 has the awesome air pump setup as well so i know what your on about. i would have to have a look but i believe they have a little fitting in the head that the little pipe then bolts to. You might just be able to take out the fitting (if it has one of course) and put in a plain old bolt with some sealant on it instead.

The idea of the pump is to pump fresh air into the exhaust manifold giving a more complete and therefore cleaner burn. reducing emissions.

I went and bought 6 bolts of the same size and thread, cut them down to fit snug, and screwed them in.

Previously I have used large grub screws to fill the ports, however, if you have performance in mind what ever you screw in will come down into the port a little, best to do it with the head off and grind down the part they protrudes into exhaust port.
You could also cut off the pipe, take the bolt/nut that screws into the head, weld it up and screw it back in

Keep in mind your car wont be legal, although by this time the system probably wont be working anyway it is still suposed to be connected.

ive got the 3.3 efi head with the bungs in it and no emmisions crap at all but then mines legal without it because of straight gas! best thing to do is get the bungs from another head and use them or just get a blue motor head and bolt that on.

The proper original EFI 202 head did not have bungs, plugs etc at all they were cast blank, the holes were machined into the carb 202 heads after casting. If yours has the holes it is a carbie 202 head. I can show pics of you like.

Cut the pipes off about an inch above the head then crimp them and silver solder the ends.
Heaps easier as undoing them is a pain in the ass.
