well take everything off the block and wire wheel off all the old paint so it looks a bit like this:


liberally coat it in prepsol and mask. its good to have some spare rocker covers to use as masks, but it you dont have any, just mask around where the gaskets go. the exhaust gaskets are easy. run three long strips of tape over the gasket surfaces, then tap around the edges with a hammer and itll cut the shape. then you just tear off the edges.
once its masked, spray.

done.
